A detox assessment is a structured clinical conversation between you and a GMC-registered prescriber. It covers your drinking history, current intake, physical health, mental health, medications, and home environment. By the end of the assessment, your prescriber will be able to tell you whether home detox is likely to be safe and appropriate for you — and if it is, what your programme would involve.
The assessment takes approximately 30–45 minutes and takes place by phone or secure video call — at a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends where available. There is no obligation to proceed at any point. The assessment is free and carries no commitment.
Call us on 07951 054041 or submit a request online. We confirm availability and arrange a time that works for you.
Your prescriber calls you at the agreed time. The conversation is private, completely confidential, and handled with clinical care.
Your prescriber asks about your drinking pattern, any previous attempts to stop, your health history, and your home situation — then gives you their honest clinical view.
You will know whether home detox is appropriate for you, what it would involve, and what the next steps are — before you make any decision.
If you decide to proceed, we arrange your blood tests and confirm your programme start date. Everything moves at your pace.

Yes. Everything you discuss during your assessment is held in strict confidence and handled in full compliance with UK GDPR. We do not share information with employers, family members, insurers, or any third party without your explicit consent.
Your prescriber will tell you honestly and help you understand what alternative settings would be safer — whether that is NHS community services, inpatient detox, or another pathway. We will not accept you on a programme if it is not the right option for you.

Your first assessment is a 25-minute video call with a GMC-registered prescriber. No waiting room, no clinic, no disclosure to anyone you have not chosen to tell. Four short questions, answered honestly, will tell us whether a home detox is the right setting for this moment in your life.
