What confidentiality means in practice

• We do not contact your employer, family members, insurer, or any third party without your explicit written consent.
• We do not share information with other health providers without your consent, except in a genuine medical emergency involving risk to life.
• Your name does not appear in any public record as a result of using our service.
• All data is stored securely in accordance with UK GDPR and retained only for as long as is clinically and legally required.

Will my GP be told?

We send a clinical summary to your GP on completion of your programme — but only with your knowledge, and only unless you explicitly ask us not to. We discuss this during your initial assessment. GP notification is generally in your best clinical interests for ongoing care, but the decision is always yours.

What about the home visits?

Our nurses arrive in plain clothing and do not use identifiable vehicles or uniforms that would draw attention. We are sensitive to the fact that many of our patients wish to keep their treatment private from neighbours, colleagues, and in some cases, wider family. We take practical steps to support that.
